Incubation Center   
  • BITS BIRAC BioNEST incubator, under BITS Goa Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Society (BGIIES) registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, is an initiative of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus
  • The incubation center promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in Health & Environment. BioNEST Goa had been initially supported by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), a Non-profit organization under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. 
  • BioNEST aims to help entrepreneurs to ideate, incubate and accelerate their innovative early stage start ups into successful ventures through infrastructural support, mentoring, networking and business advisory. 
  • The incubator brings entrepreneurs, mentors, researchers and academicians together to create a vibrant startup ecosystem. ​Be a part of our network to participate in stimulating conversations, innovative thinking and create forward-looking startups.

Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Programme
  • Objective: To provide its students and interested faculty with a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with successful entrepreneurs. 
  • The mentoring program is aimed to support an entrepreneurial ecosystem that is being laid down by the University through teaching and applied research, setting up of incubators on each campus, providing seed fund opportunities and IPR support mechanisms to encourage innovation.
  • EIR Programme is a wonderful opportunity for students to engage with successful entrepreneurs to provide practical learning opportunities that facilitates interaction with experienced entrepreneurs, industry experts and venture capitalists to gain insight and inspiration.
  • It was launched by BITS Pilani alumnus, Phanindra Sama (Co-Founder, redbus.in and the first entrepreneur of this programme) 
  • The aim of EIR Programme is to provide students the chance to learn best practices for starting a business and also, give them an insight into specific industries or markets. 
  • The  program is meant to be of special benefit for students interested in innovation and start- ups. Open to all students across the BITS Pilani campuses through the telepresence facility.
