Academic City, Dubai, the Dubai campus (BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (BPDC)) was
established in 2000 as the first offshore campus of any Indian institution of
higher learning. Over the years, BPDC
has grown into a fully integrated international campus offering three-tier
University education (bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees) with residential
facilities on campus for students.
The Dubai campus carries forward the dedication of
BITS Pilani to providing its students with a world-class education that
combines academic rigour, intellectual stimulation, state-of-the-art technology
and facilities and all-round personality development to deliver values, capabilities
and skills for a global and knowledge-based economy. The broad-based education system offers a
high degree of flexibility in the form of dual degrees, electives and minors to
cater to diverse interests of students and current and future career
opportunities. The Practice School, a distinctive
hallmark of the BITS Pilani system, is built into the academic programme and
enables every student to spend 7 months with an industry partner and imbibe
professional skills and experience in applying theoretical knowledge to solve
authentic, real-world problems.
