This project aims at conceptualizing, architecting, developing and deploying a robust, scalable framework for enabling verifiable large-scale, distributed learning in Multi-dimensional manner and advancing the state of the art beyond the basic Massive Online Open Courses' in select areas of learning. In the initial stage, the project engineers are experimenting with the edX open source and select other complementary open source based hybrid environmental set-up atop open-source academic cloud environment.

Project E-Attend, BITS Pilani

A biometric Attendance System has been developed which captures the frontal face of the student in a classroom and marks his attendance. The image processing modules takes the captured photo of the student, extracts the facial features, and verifies if the photo is of the student and not a proxy. Finally mark the attendance as Present or absent
