M.Tech. Manufacturing Management is a four-semester Work Integrated Learning Programme designed for working professionals aspiring for rapid career progression in the field of manufacturing engineering.
Duration: 4 Semesters
What are the programme objectives?:
The programme aims to equip learners with skills needed to manage technical and business processes involved in New Product Development and Production, develop & apply modern methods to continuously improve quality & efficiency of the system, implement maintenance techniques for achieving breakdown-free production processes, and design, select & implement effective and sustainable manufacturing strategies.
What are the learning outcomes?:
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be able to:
- Design and conduct experiments as well as analyse and interpret data
- Accept and successfully fulfil leadership responsibilities when required by the company
- Conduct an objective assessment of the change in various manufacturing related metrics and accordingly manage the operations
- Coordinate with product development teams to achieve design for manufacturability
- Use skill, tools and techniques necessary for manufacturing engineering practice
- Demonstrate initiative and originality in solving industrial technology management problems and act autonomously in planning and managing
- Apply sustainable manufacturing methods to obtain waste minimization and acceptable products
- Estimate and manage manufacturing plant’s financial risks
- Apply suitable maintenance methods for achieving breakdown free performance of manufacturing systems
- Apply project management techniques over the complete product lifecycle
What is the eligibility criteria?:
Employed professionals working in Manufacturing and allied business organizations, holding B Tech., BE, M.Sc, or equivalent in relevant disciplines, with minimum one year of work experience in relevant domains.
