Dear BITS 1972 Alumni
Batch,
The 1972 entry batch is celebrating 50 years of joining BITS Pilani. On this golden jubilee, they would like to acknowledge the role played by BITS Pilani in their professional and personal lives by "giving back". Towards this, they are raising
funds from all batch mates for creating Chair Positions as well as Visiting Faculty Positions. Chair Positions
are for recognizing and rewarding meritorious existing faculty while Visiting Positions are for supporting
visits by eminent faculty members from globally leading academic Institutions. Both schemes are aimed towards
promoting excellence and to inspire faculty and students alike. Towards this, the batch hopes to raise Rs 2
Crores+ over the next 6 months.
